  • What behavior is expected from guests at Kemah Boardwalk?

    We expect all guests to behave in a family-friendly manner. Line jumping, profanity and unruly behavior are not tolerated and may be cause for ejection from the Kemah Boardwalk without refund. 

  • Does Kemah Boardwalk have a dress code?

    Kemah Boardwalk reserves the right to refuse admission or ask visitors to leave if they do not comply with the following dress code and safety guidelines:


    • Proper Attire: Guest are required to wear shirts, shorts/pants, and shoes at all times.
    • Pants & Undergarments: Pants should be worn at the waist with no exposure of undergarments.
    • No Explicit Language: Clothing featuring explicit language or inappropriate graphics is prohibited. 
    • Shoes with wheels (such as Heelys) are not allowed. 
  • Can I take food and drinks in Kemah Boardwalk?

    Kemah Boardwalk offers a variety of on-site restaurants and concessions. To maintain a safe and enjoyable experience, the following food and beverage items are not allowed:


    • Bottled water
    • Glass containers 
    • Yeti cups/insulated tumblers 
    • Outside food (e.g., sandwiches, snacks) 
    • Off-premises alcohol 
    • Tailgating or picnics 
    • Feeding seagulls 

  • Is alcohol allowed at the Kemah Boardwalk?

    To maintain safety and enjoyment for all guests, Kemah Boardwalk has the following alcohol-related rules:


    • Alcohol purchased at Kemah Boardwalk may not be taken off the premises.
    • Excessive alcohol consumption may result in ejection from the Boardwalk without a refund. 

  • What items are not allowed at Kemah Boardwalk?

    In addition to the restrictions mentioned under our Food and Beverage Policy, the following items are not permitted:


    • Markers, spray paint and aerosol cans
    • Knives 
    • Chains 
    • Spiked clothing or jewelry 
    • Fireworks and explosives
    • Unlicensed possession of a concealed weapon 
    • Chemical weapons (including mace or pepper spray) 

    Important Note: Kemah Boardwalk is not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen, or left unattemded. All bags, backpacks and packages are subject to inspection if deemed necessary. 

  • Can I ride my bike at Kemah Boardwalk?

    No. For the safety of all guests, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and surfboards are not permitted anywhere on Kemah Boardwalk property. We recommend leaving these items at home or securing them before entering the Boardwalk. 

  • Can I bring my pet to Kemah Boardwalk?

    Pets are not allowed at Kemah Boardwalk.

  • Can I bring my service animal to Kemah Boardwalk?

    Service animals are welcomed in most areas of Kemah Boardwalk. Please note the following: 


    • Per ride manufacturers, the rides are not equipped or designed to accommodate animals. Therefore, service animals are not permitted on rides, and a member of your party must be available to stay with the animal while the service animal owner enjoys the rides. Guests may take advantage of our policy to allow a member of their party to wait with the service animal while the other guest(s) ride. After the guest (or group of guests) have ridden the ride, the guest who remained with the service animal may enter through the exit and ride on the next available cycle with one (1) accompanying guest. Employees will not take responsibility or provide care for any service animal. Kemah Boardwalk reserves the right to remove any service animal that poses a threat to the safety and/or welfare of the Kemah Boardwalk’s guests, employees, or property.
    • Service Animals are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as a dog or miniature horse that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the service animal must be directly related to the person's disability. Untrained/service animals "in training" are not considered service animals. Emotional support, comfort, or companion animals are NOT service animals and therefore are not permitted on property and are not protected by law.
    • Service animals and pets are not permitted on our rides.  Ask us about our service animals rides policy with any concerns. 
  • Where can I park at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Kemah Boardwalk offers multiple on-site parking lots. Here is what guests need to know:


    Payment: All lots are credit card only – no cash accepted. 

    • Pay Process:
    1. Park your vehicle and take a ticket.
    2. Pay using the QR code signs or walk-up pay stations (located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the garage).
    3. Enjoy the Boardwalk and keep your ticket to exit the lot. 

    For help, press the Help button at any kiosk. 


    Lot Types:

    • Gated Lots (Bradford & Kipp Ave): Free when gates are up. Paid on weekends, holidays, and event days. 
    • Ungated Lots (Kipp Ave & 6th St): Paid parking enforced 24/7 via QR code.
    • Texas Avenue Lots (Shuttle Boat Access): Free Parking with shuttle service on select days (not year-round). 

    Rules & Reminders: 

    • Park in one space only; improperly parked vehicles may be towed. 
    • No tailgating, grilling or picnics. 
    • No overnight parking.
    • No buses, RVs, or trailers in premium lots – use Texas Ave lots.
    • No re-entry and no parking refunds.
    • Parking prices vary and may change without notice. 
    • Kemah Boardwalk is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property. 


  • Is Kemah Boardwalk wheelchair accessible?

    Yes, the Boardwalk provides wheelchair access at all attractions. However, wheelchair rentals are not available on-site. Guests may bring their own wheelchair or strollers. 

  • Can I take my stroller on Kemah Boardwalk?

    Yes, guests are welcome to bring strollers, but for safety reasons, strollers must be parked outside of ride lines and attractions. Kemah Boardwalk is not responsible for strollers, or their content left unattended. We do not provide designated stroller parking areas. 

  • How do the cashless game work at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Kemah Boardwalk is now offering a faster, easier way to play—all skill games, crane machines, and arcade games are now cashless! Here's what you need to know: 


    • No Cash Accepted at Games: All games now require a credit card or a reloadable game card. Cash can still be used to purchase a game card at various locations on property.
    • Skill & Crane Games: Play using a credit card or a game card. Please note tap-to-play is not supported at these machines. 
    • Arcade Games: Accept game cards only. 
    • Game Cards: Available throughout the Boardwalk, game cards are reloadable and can be purchased using cash or credit card. Tellers can accept tap payments for game card purchases.
    • Card Cost & Bonus: There's a one-time $3 fee for new game cards, but each card comes with 12 bonus credits.
    • Credits & Value: Each credit is worth $0.25. You'll always receive at least 1 credit for every $0.25 spent, and the more you load, the more bonus credits you receive. 
    • Bonus Credits: Bonus credits work just like regular credits at all skill, crane, and arcade games. They have no cash value but can be redeemed the same way. 
    • No Expiration: Game credits never expire and can be used at Kemah Boardwalk, Pleasure Pier, and Downtown Aquarium. 
  • Does Kemah Boardwalk have an ATM?

    Texas First Bank ATMs are located in front of Saltgrass Steak House and in the Main Plaza breezeway of parking garage.

  • Is smoking allowed at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited inside all indoor facilities and not permitted in ride or food queue lines, or while seated on any ride. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available throughout the park. Please use the provided smoking urns to dispose of cigarette butts properly. 

  • Is fishing allowed at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Fishing is not permitted off any area of the Kemah Boardwalk.

  • Where are trash cans located at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Littering is strictly prohibited. Trash receptables are conveniently located throughout Kemah Boardwalk. For the cleanliness and enjoyment of all guests, please dispose of all trash in the designated containers

  • Can I drop my kids off at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Except when participating in an event intended for young guests such as our birthday parties and educational programs, there must be at least one adult chaperone (over the age of 18) for every 5 to 10 children.

  • What are the ride line rules and rider responsibilities at Kemah Boardwalk?

    • Line jumping is strictly prohibited at Kemah Boardwalk. To enter a ride line, guests must present a valid ticket or wear an official All Day Ride wristband. Adults accompanying children are also permitted. Saving spots, cutting line, or leaving and re-entering the same place in line is not allowed under any circumstances. 
    • All Riders must follow posted and announced safety instructions. Non-compliance may result in removal without refund. Ride rules are displayed at each attraction.
    • Wristbands are non-transferable and may not be shared.  

  • Are there height restrictions for the rides at Kemah Boardwalk?

    For safety purposes, guests who do not meet the required height and/or weight limits may be unable to enjoy certain rides if the safety restraints cannot function properly. Height requirements and specific ride details are available both at the entrance to each ride and at the ticket booths. Guests with disabilities should speak with a Ride Attendant before boarding for assistance and guidance. 


  • What items are not allowed on the rides at Kemah Boardwalk?

    For safety reasons, personal items such as purses, backpacks, electronic devices (e.g., cell phones, iPods, and cameras), and beverage containers are not permitted on most rides. These items must be left with a non-rider before entering the queue. Items cannot be left on the load/unload platforms. Small personal belongings should be securely stored in cargo pockets, zippered jacket pockets, or waist packs. Kemah Boardwalk is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. 

  • Do rides close due to rain at Kemah Boardwalk?

    Rides are subject to closure due to inclement weather, including high winds and lightning. Refunds and rain checks will not be issued due to inclement weather.

  • Where is lost and found located at Kemah Boardwalk?

    For lost and found items, visit the Boardwalk Inn Hotel front desk and complete a lost item report. The Kemah Boardwalk is not liable for lost, stolen, or missing property. If you've recently lost an item at the Boardwalk, call 281-334-9880 and provide the following details: 


    • Detailed description of the item (color, brand, unique features). 
    • If it's a lost cell phone, include the serial number, make, model, and service provider. 
    • Your contact information (phone number and address) 
    • Confirm if you submitted a lost item report before leaving. 

    Guests may not enter restricted areas. Personal items that are lost in ride areas should be reported to the ride operator and a Property Manager or the Hotel Front Desk for Lost and Found. Guests who enter restricted areas may be ejected from Kemah Boardwalk without a refund.


    Please note: Lost item reports are kept active for 30 days due to high volume. A team member will reach out if your item is found. 


  • What is Kemah Boardwalk's photography policy?

    By entering Kemah Boardwalk, guests consent to being photographed or filmed on-site without compensation. Please note:



    • Filming on rides, including GoPros, is strictly prohibited. 
    • Guest photos and videos are for personal use only – no commercial use allowed. 
    • All rides, shows, and attractions are copyright protected. Written permission is required for any commercial use of Kemah Boardwalk images or videos.

    There are always team members, management and security on-site to assist you with your needs.

  • What are the park policies for Kemah Boardwalk?

    In addition to following the Kemah Boardwalk Guest Code of Conduct, all visitors must adhere to local, state, and federal laws, including the Federal Rider Responsibility Act. Guests are also expected to comply with all posted park policies, rules, and staff instructions. The full Code of Conduct is displayed throughout the Kemah Boardwalk property.
